My opinion: First of all what I found surprising was that even though this novel was written by two different people,I could not distinguish one style from another. Not only that but they wove many interesting details, and original images into their writing that add on to the richness of the narrative. When it comes to the storyline, at first it may seem as if not a lot of exciting things happen, but as the story progresses the reader is progressively introduced to new information about Lena's world, and this creates suspense because one wants to know more about the characters, more about the magic, more about the curse.
